Located in the western region of El Salvador, Apaneca-Ilamatepec, consists of 3 volcanos, Santa Ana, Cerro Verde and one of the newest, Izalco. A lot of the area is in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Biosphere Reserve, which include some coffee plantations, endangered flora, fauna, fungi, and many other species.
